Armenian production and research potential at the Eurosatory-2026 exhibition in Paris.

Eurosatory, which has been held for six decades, has brought together 2,300 companies from 66 countries this year. 18 companies from the Armenian military-industrial sector presented their products in Paris. At Eurosatory 2026, Armenian products became visible and accessible. Over the past two years, the Armenian pavilion and the Armenian military industry have made tremendous progress. New proposals for cooperation were not long in coming. Both established countries and private companies are expressing interest in forming partnerships with Armenia and Armenian military-industrial companies.

ARMENIA

ARMENIA


Armenia (officially the Republic of Armenia) is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region, bordering Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia. It is geographically located in the northwest of the Armenian Highlands. It borders Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, Iran to the south, and Turkey to the west. Armenia covers an area of ​​29,743 km² and has a population of 3 million. The capital is Yerevan, the official language is Armenian, and the vast majority of the population is Christian.



FLAG


The flag of Armenia, one of the state symbols of Armenia. It is defined by the Constitution of Armenia and the Law on the Flag. It is composed of red, blue, and orange colors (from top to bottom) in horizontal equal stripes, with a width-to-length ratio of 1:2. It is a repetition of the flag of the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920) in size and colors.

"The red color symbolizes the Armenian Highland, the constant struggle of the Armenian people for survival, the Christian faith, the independence and freedom of Armenia. The blue color symbolizes the will of the Armenian people to live under a peaceful sky. The orange color symbolizes the creative talent and hard work of the Armenian people."



COAT OF ARMS


In the central part of the state emblem of Armenia, on the shield, the coats of arms of the four Armenian royal dynasties are depicted: the Artaxerxes, the Arshakunis, the Bagratunis and the Rubinians (Cilicia Kingdom). They are surrounded by the image of the biblical Mount Ararat, on the top of which Noah's Ark is depicted. On both sides of the shield are depicted a lion and an eagle, which symbolize the strength of the spirit, power, indomitability and courage. The sword depicted below symbolizes the struggle of the Armenian people for freedom and independence, the feather and ears of corn - the creative talent and peace-loving nature of the Armenian people.



YEREVAN


Yerevan, the capital and largest city of Armenia. It is located in the central part of the country, on both banks of the Hrazdan River. It is the administrative, political, and economic center of the country. According to the 2024 census, Yerevan has a population of ▲1,106,300 (2024). Yerevan, as the fortress-city of Erebuni, was founded by Argishti I, king of the Van Kingdom, in 782 BC under the name Erebuni.



DIASPORA


The Armenian Diaspora is the community of Armenians living outside the borders of Armenia. The total number of Armenians worldwide is estimated at 10-12 million people, while the permanent population of Armenia according to the 2011 census is 3,018,854, of which 2,961,801 (98%) are Armenians. The number of the Armenian Diaspora is approximately 8-9 million people. The figures given are the result of an estimated calculation and include people of Armenian origin and half of them are Armenians. Even with the highest estimates (Armenia: 3,000.0 thousand, Russia: 2,500.0 thousand, the USA: 1,500.0 thousand, France: 800.0 thousand, other countries: no more than 2,000.0 thousand) the number does not reach 10 million.
