Yerevan Wine Days: 10th Anniversary Festival.

The center of Yerevan has once again turned into a great wine festival. Thousands of tourists visiting Armenia discover the diverse flavors, rich culture and traditions of Armenian wines here. The Yerevan summer has been kicking off for the 10th year in a row with the most anticipated wine festival. Saryan, Tumanyan and Moskovyan streets have once again turned into a meeting place for winemakers, tourists and thousands of wine lovers. In 2025, the festival welcomed about 180,000 visitors, about 40,000 bottles of wine were sold, and the turnover reached 3 million dollars.

The areas of Vanadzor and Alaverdi city lakes, abandoned and neglected for years, will get a new life.

Regional and local authorities promise that very soon the well-maintained areas of Vanadzor and Alaverdi lakes will become the calling card of these communities, ensuring decent rest and pleasant pastime for local residents and guests.

A new medieval secret passage has been discovered in Bjni Castle.

The government has allocated more than 200 million drams to renovate the road leading to Bjni Castle, install a modular station with all the amenities for visitors, and build a retaining wall to the 7th century St. Sargis Church. Bjni Castle is visited by about 15-20 thousand tourists annually.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles: the triumph of Armenian wines.

According to the results of the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2026 wine competition held in Armenia in May, Armenian wines received 2 grand gold, 13 gold, 20 silver and 33 merit. 400 international experts evaluated about 7700 wines in a blind tasting format, including Armenian wines, which received an unprecedented number of awards, reaffirming the high quality of Armenian wine, its growing reputation and competitiveness on international platforms. After this event, Armenia will truly be recognized as an ancient wine-making country.

The turnover of hotels and restaurants has tripled.

Hotels and restaurants in Armenia have started the year with high activity. According to the latest data from the Statistical Committee, the turnover of the sector in the first quarter alone exceeded 83 billion drams. Compared to the same period in 2025, the growth is 9.5%, and if we compare it with the pre-pandemic years of 2018-19, the volumes of the sector have increased more than three times. According to a statistical survey conducted in 2013, 66% of tourists visiting Armenia were of Armenian origin, in 2023 this share was 35%. It is not that the number of people coming from the Diaspora has decreased, but rather that foreigners have started to come more. This means that the number of hotel users in total visits is increasing. Armenians by origin are also tourists, even if they do not stay in hotels. They spend a lot in other places. Representatives of all sectors state that the statistical growth is actually felt in business as well.

In 2027, Armenia will present 4 films at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2027, Armenia will become the next step in the Critics' Week program of the 80th anniversary Cannes Film Festival, the country of honor of the initiative, presenting the potential of Armenian cinema on the international stage and contributing to the popularization of young filmmakers. The international jury will select four Armenian directors, who will be joined by four more foreign directors. They will jointly create four short films in our country. An important prerequisite is that the filming takes place in Armenia.

A concert titled "Musical Bridge: Armenia-France" was held in Gyumri.

The concert dedicated to Armenian-French friendship was attended by the President of France, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and other high-ranking officials.
