"Vanadzor 200". The identity of the city in the language of art.

The temporary exhibition "Vanadzor 200" dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the founding of the city of Vanadzor has opened at the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition brought together more than 50 works by 21 artists in the fields of painting, graphics and decorative applied arts. Vanadzor celebrates its 200th anniversary and on this occasion the Vanadzor Museum decided to present the works of its young artists to Yerevan. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Vanadzor Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art, with the support of the Vanadzor Municipality. The works of artists of different generations working in Vanadzor are presented, creating a dialogue between tradition and modern art. The organizers are confident that such initiatives contribute to the strengthening of regional and capital cultural cooperation, as well as introduce Armenian contemporary art to a new audience.
