The Olympiad consisted of two stages, experimental and theoretical stages. The schoolchildren studied the behavior of gases in different environments, and during the theoretical stage they solved three problems on the topics of thermodynamics, optics and electromagnetism. More than 400 representatives from 91 countries tried their hand at the international Olympiad. Silver medals were won by Gor Hovsepyan and Garnik Gavaljyan, and bronze went to Edgar Baghramyan, Emil Harutyunyan and Samvel Harutyunyan.
