Notification of tourism activities will become mandatory from October.

Armenian tourism companies, as well as affiliated service providers, will now be required to officially notify their activities, which means that tour operators, agents, escorts, guides, as well as companies providing hotel services must participate in the notification process by registering their data on the newly created website of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy. According to the new amendments, the Tourism Committee is authorized to apply deterrent mechanisms, up to and including the suspension of companies' activities. A qualification rating system will also be introduced in the tourism sector.
