A circle dance in Stepanavan’s town square.

the traditional Armenian "Tamzara" brought together Stepanavan residents and guests arriving from various regions of Armenia and from Georgia. Around 700 people joined hands for the circle dance in the town square. As part of the "I Don't Know How to Dance" initiative—launched in January of this year—free "Tamzara" dance classes were held in schools and various community institutions. The goal is to reintegrate traditional Armenian dance into people's daily lives and use it to revitalize the community's cultural life. Dance reflects the distinctive traits of a people—particularly their character and level of civilization.
