The 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence was celebrated in California.

The event took place on the grounds of the California Institute of Technology, attended by members of the Armenian community and international guests. Guests of the Consulate General of Armenia included spiritual leaders of the community; representatives of civic, political, and cultural organizations; members of the U.S. Congress and the California State Legislature; members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and City Council; Glendale officials; and diplomats accredited in Los Angeles. In 2019, a framework agreement was signed between the Government of Armenia and the State of California; the provisions of this agreement currently serve as the foundation for cooperation between the community and Armenia's diplomatic mission.
