The blue butterfly, the symbol of the COP17 countdown event, has appeared in the center of the capital and reminds us of the days remaining until the Yerevan launch of the international conference dedicated to biodiversity conservation. Organizational work is progressing smoothly according to schedule. The agenda for the environmental discussions expected in the green zone of the complex has almost been formed based on applications received from Armenia and abroad. Environmental NGOs, research institutes with eco-ideas, startups offering green technological solutions, and businesses have also shown keen interest in the conference’s exhibition zone. Armenia will be presented to local visitors to the Green Zone with a unified national pavilion. In parallel, regions will also be able to separately showcase the exclusive Red Book animals and plant species living in their territories and talk about local environmental agendas.
