Under a joint Armenian-French initiative, an expedition team from the Research Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage resumed archaeological excavations in June of this year, uncovering the historical and cultural heritage of the Vorotan Gorge—specifically, the secrets of the Great Hermitage of Tatev. The exceptional and noteworthy artifacts unearthed shed new light on the history of this medieval complex. Provided weather conditions remain favorable, the excavations will continue into the autumn. Archaeologists promise further discoveries.
