"Reading Across All Subjects": This is the theme of the teachers' conference organized ahead of Teachers' Day, focusing on the journey from acquiring knowledge to developing critical thinking. Around 700 teachers from Yerevan and the regions participated. Held at Yerevan State University and organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, this conference takes place within the context of designating the 2026–2027 academic year as the "Year of Reading." The event aims to foster the continuous development of students' reading skills—moving from simply sparking an interest in reading to cultivating critical, independent, and creative readers. The YSU Rector thanked the teachers for their immense efforts and noted that unprecedented reforms are currently being implemented in the education sector. The conference is held with EU support and in collaboration with UNICEF, YSU, and the National Center for Education Development and Innovation (NCEDI).
